This our third trip with Viking. All the trips have each had their own uniqueness. The trip on Danube has been our least favorite. This opinion is given due to the fact that it was the trip that was to a venue that has a lot of river traffic. At each port we were docked with another ship on the river side of our boat and blocked our view. There is really something special about visiting Vienna and Passau. The Legend was an older ship and that made it less pleasurable and the staff were not as friendly and welcoming as the other two trips. The dining room wait staff was terrific, as were the other two cruises and the food was excellent. I would recommend booking this trip, even with these reservations.

Our experience was very good overall. There was a good balance of activities and opportunities to do what we wanted, and there was never a dull moment. Just when we thought things might get dull, something else exciting would pop up. It was a really enjoyable experience overall.

Viking tours was an exceptional way to go. Delta airlines was the pits. I even feel my wife and I got food poisoning from the airline food. We had a long delay in Amsterdam and the food service vehicle was on the tarmac a long time in the hot sun. The crew complained that the loaded food shipment didn't seem to be right. Unfortunately, I have many miles with Delta otherwise I would not fly with them again. All this is not your fault. I received excellent service from Affordable tours. I will recommend my agent and Affordable tours but suggest to any friends that they bypass using Delta if possible. An example of Delta's callousness they sent a survey about our initial flight. When I went to fill that one out one week later it was denied since I hadn't met their time lines. We were on vacation and do they really feel we better do their survey in one week or forget about it. Sorry to take my anger out in this e-mail. It was not your fault. I have written to Delta about our bad experience. Doubt I will hear anything.
