Lovely trip. The first day was rather rocky. We arrived very early and were left in a hotel basement. It was also cold and rainy and not conducive to exploring on our own. An optional tour to the Louvre that day would have suited many of us as we were not oriented enough to get there on our own. Once on the ship at 5:00 PM, it was wonderful for the rest of the week.

We loved our river cruise on the Seine! Also loved our time in Paris. The Pullman Hotel was great. All good on flights and transfers too.

Our hotel location was beyond our expectations. All of the paperwork was very clear and the transfers were very smooth and timely.

Absolutely one of the most wonderful vacations so far. Treated like royalty on the cruise. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Avalon is a great company to choose for a river cruise trip. The staff is excellent and very sensitive to passengers' needs. Great food and good tours.

I highly recommended taking a river cruise with Avalon Waterways! This was my first river cruise as well as my first experience with Avalon Waterways. We cruised from Paris to the Normandy Beaches and back, with several stops along the way. I felt like I was treated like royalty! The staff of the ship were wonderful. They made you feel special and that they were glad to have you aboard. The excursions that were included in the price were exceptional. The tour director made sure that there were two buses for every excursion so that everyone would be comfortable. Our room was always clean. The beds were comfortable. The temperature in the room was easily adjusted to meet our needs. The waiters in the restaurant ALWAYS tried to provide top notch service. The listening devices for the excursions were wonderful. The local guides for each excursion were exceptional. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I will definitely travel with Avalon Waterways again.

This was our first river cruise. The entire staff, accomodations, land tours, actually almost every aspect of our trip far exceeded our expectations. The food was good, but there were evenings when service was slow, but we took advantage of the long gap between courses to talk with fellow travellers. At breakfast, it was not clear to some of us that breakfast "specials" were to be ordered and not to be found at the buffet line. This came up at the dinner conversation on our last evening! But no matter, this was minor compared to the lovely time we had. Staff were hardworking, attentive, and always had a smile despite the long hours I know they were putting in. No hesitation to travel on Avalon cruises again!

Avalon provided a 5 star experience with everything they did! The food and wine was delicious and plentiful. The staff went above and beyond for us. Our excursions were handled expertly - timing from start to finish was as stated, the guides were wonderful, talented, knowledgeable and personable. I can't say enough positive things about our experience. I would travel again with Avalon in a heartbeat!

The trip went exactly as planned and everything described in the brochure and website went as stated. Lovely experience!!

Avalon did a great job

Avalon Waterways was wonderful-the ship, the accommodations, the cruise director, the excursions, the food and the crew. Very positive experience.

The Avalon staff, boat, excursions, and food were all superior. I would definitely use them again.

Everything, from the booking to the trip, was first rate.

My comment on the accommodations is the beds were excellent . this is my second river cruise with Avalon Waterways and I will definitely will be doing more in the future. I have recommended Avalon to my friends and they are considering booking the same cruise for next spring.

The crew and staff on the Creativity were fantastic. Cruise Director best I've ever come across. The on-shore guides also excellent and very knowledgable. All in all, very impressed.

The river cruise on Avalon was fantastic, I would be happy to take another river cruise. The value for the money is terrific, Our Cruise Director was terrific. He handled everything in a smooth and efficient manner, adding a bit of humor to make things more fun. He handled the problem with the boat not being able to dock in Paris on departure with ease. The entertainment he arranged on board was superior. The food was great, the room servicing was wonderful, and all the staff and crew were very hospitable and welcoming. Loved the excursions being mostly included in the base price, they were well arranged and well guided by excellent local guides. Glad we decided to take the Normandy/American site tour - it was wonderful. The River Cruise was quite a fun-filled beginning to a great vacation.
